Does Youngblood use animal testing?
Absolutely not. Youngblood's founding beauty principles are natural health, empowerment,
and environmental responsibility. Our products are completely cruelty-free.
Do your foundations have an SPF rating?
At Youngblood Mineral Cosmetics, we value your health, and want you to make the
most informed health decisions possible.
Out of all our mineral foundations, the Loose Mineral Foundation offers the most
sun protection because it contains titanium dioxide, considered the ideal natural
UVA/UVB protector in cosmetic formulations. When Youngblood first released its Loose
Mineral Foundation, we felt that to stamp and rate an SPF factor might be misleading
and confusing to the consumer due to the very nature of loose minerals. A client
can achieve a very light natural coverage or get full coverage, but the protective
levels won’t be the same. In other words, someone who chooses a lighter coverage
will not receive the same protective benefit as someone who opts for full coverage.
We have always been advocates of wearing sunscreen and want to emphasize that our
Loose Mineral Foundation does offer natural sun protection because of titanium dioxide.
Is Rice Setting Powder appropriate for all skin types?
Yes. Rice Setting Powder is appropriate for everyone—it should be offered as a companion
to the Loose Mineral Foundation and the Liquid Mineral Foundation. It is also ideal
as a primer for loose minerals. Rice Setting Powder is also perfect as a finishing
step—use it to set concealers, loose minerals, and liquid foundation. In film and
print artistry, it’s best to avoid the appearance of shine due to photographic lighting.
Can you mix Rice Setting Powder with Loose Mineral Foundation?
Yes. You can mix it at various ratios to diminish coverage level, alter or colour
correct a shade of Loose Mineral Foundation, or enhance performance for a client
with oily skin.
Are your lipstick formulas colour stay?
No, but they are very high performance. Currently, we have not found any ingredients
that meet our formulary requirements therefore we do not offer a colour stay formulation.
What are the differences between the Lip Shines and Lip Gloss?
The Lip Shines are fairly sheer with a small amount of pigment. The Lip Glosses
have slightly more pigment and are multifaceted in colouration.
