New York Fashion Week and Youngblood

New York Fashion Week came and went like the Tasmanian Devil.  Even though it felt quick, a lot happened. The Youngblood artistry team created beautiful looks for The GreenShow designers which generated a buzz, leaving a massive impact on the concrete streets of NYC.

The venue for The GreenShows was The Metropolitan Pavilion, which could not have been anymore perfect.  There was energy penetrating the walls from other designers showing in the building, the hustle of show turnover and the lengthy lines to get in.

James Vincent from The Powder Group was the Key Artist creating the looks for all of the designers.  The powerhouse Youngblood team was consisted of Sr. Youngblood Educator Valerie Hernandez and about 7 other talented artists.  At the beginning of each show call, James did a test model to explain the look.  Valerie, with her years of YB product experience, utilized the brand and made the looks shine.  The team followed the lead and all ten shows went smooth and the faces were flawless.

The GreenShows’ attendees included popular media sources such as Vogue, Daily Candy, Glamour, WWD, Niche Media, Nylon and People just to name a few.  In between shows, the blogger couches were being occupied by these savvy social media writers. Whatever a person’s outlet for news and fashion information was at The Greenshow - it was covered.

The hectic week concluded with a blow out “wrap” party hosted by ZINK magazine.  The staff from Zink invited the Youngblood team to a pre-event dinner hosted by the publisher, Sherrif Ishak.  Following the feast there was a party for about 200 New York fashion/socialites.  They took advantage of the hosted bar and bounced to the beats till about 3:30 a.m.

Rave Review: Youngblood Mineral Cosmetics Outrageous Lashes

Sky's Showbiz pages review Volumising Mascaras

Beauty Journalist, Rebecca Cox is "seriously impressed" with Youngblood's new Mascara and awards it 5 out of 5.

"I don't really wear mascara - mainly because  the difficulty of finding a clump-free version and having to remove it at the end of the day seems too much hassle.  But this mineral version by Youngblood may have just won me over.

The delicate application brush and smooth formula glides on gloop-free and my lids don't feel heavy and clogged like they usually do. And how does it look? I look like I've got fake lashes on. Yes, my lashes are long, but with mascara they usually look like a dying tarantula.

I'm seriously impressed
. It might be double the price of your usual mascara, but you'll look at least twice as good. 5/5"

Limited-edition 'Pink Hope' Lipgloss

Youngblood Mineral Cosmetics joins the fight against breast cancer with a new limited-edition Lipgloss Pink Hope is a delicate, glistening pink with conditioning botanicals and vitamin E to moisturize, hydrate and protect lips. The personal story of Youngblood’s founder and President, Pauline Youngblood Soli, was the inspiration behind the product. Its sweet shine was also modeled after her signature Youngblood Lipstick shade.

In 2009, Pauline was diagnosed with breast cancer, and underwent surgery and radiation treatments. Early detection was the key to her recovery; happily, she is now cancer-free. “Now, more than ever, I’m careful about everything in my life. Not just what I put in my body, but what I put on my body,” Pauline explained. “Just like all of our products, Pink Hope is safe, natural and paraben-free.”

Youngblood is donating a portion of all sales of its Pink Hope Lipgloss to the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF). This non-profit organisation increases awareness through education, funds free mammograms for women who otherwise cannot afford them, and supports research programs in leading facilities across the U.S.

“With approximately one in eight women being diagnosed with breast cancer, Pink Hope is symbolic of my wish for a cure,” Pauline explained.

Pauline added: “Making women beautiful during a difficult time inspires me, and hopefully others. Our Lipgloss is an affordable luxury that actually makes a difference. It really is guilt-free shopping!”
